Abante!

Yay! First day on the road. I have enrolled in a driving lesson from Dynamic Driving Institute in Bluewave. So here's what happened...

7am - woke up, drank coffee and checked on my mailbox for important emails from client - none. Yesss!!! Surfed the net for other stuff.

9am - took a quick bath and prepared for my first day learning how to drive.

9:50am - got to the mall (Bluewave) a little early - the mall doesn't open until 10am so I went to look for an atm to withdraw money for my balance. Got back on the entrance and I saw a 2007 vios car from Dynamic parked near the entrance - yyeees! thought I was going to drive a crappy corolla car like the one Nic drove during his driving lesson with the same institute. Hihi! Excited much =)

10am - Went inside and saw the person from the vios car opened the office, waited till he was all set before inquiring for the lesson - then this middle aged guy came up and asked, "Sino yung estudyante dito?". And of course I replied "Ako po." The guy from the vios then said, "O sige, dun ako sa grand mall ngayon eh. Kaw na bahala dito." Uh-oh! I have a bad feeling about this. Goodbye vios car - huhuhu. So, here I am with the instructor and we sat down outside Starbucks and took my attendance and he said "Ano muna tayo ngayon ah, lesson muna tungkol sa sasakyan." Sigh. I want my hands-on training >.<

So after that the dreaded moment, we went to the parking lot to where the car was and there it was - what looked like the oldest corolla model EVER! Another sigh. Oh well, you just can't get a good car when training for a manual module. So we went it inside and goodness gracious, ANG INIITTT!!! - good thing I haven't forgotten to use deodorant that day or else I would be soaking in sweat. The car was also parked in a shade less spot so we had to move to another location where we can at least hide from the sun's view. So we started the introduction to the car parts, how to use them, what's the first thing to do in driving a car - blah blah blah and more blahs. He then said that we will go to Katipunan because we have to pick up the other student there - so we got on our way and he continuous to talk about changing gears and even let me practice doing it myself without driving. We got in Katipunan a little early so he decided to let me take on the seat and do my hands on there, Yay! Finally, thought the day would end with just "watch and look". So there I was seated on the driver's side - he told to just shift between 1st and 2nd gear - for now. I have to learn how to be at "ease" in using the clutch and break. So there I was, running a 5 meter distance and stopping - running a 5 meter distance again and stopping again - kinda boring huh? so we went around at McDonald's area twice for my practice. At one part I got a little panicky when there we're too much cars around and I had to beat them up to the curve and got "natirikan" - shet! Oh well, kabado pa eh - what can I do >.< May umekstra pang ambulance - dagdag pahirap whew! After that everything went out smoothly and I tried to sum up more courage in driving - to lessen the "panic mode". We then went to a stop in front of the Dynamic office in Katipunan to wait for the other student - and that ends my first day. I had to pay my balance there, went back to Marikina when the other student came. He drove the car all the way to Marikina - the reason why is because he claims that he's no beginner and just needed the lesson as a refresher although I think my driving skill is pretty much better than his... Ha ha!

So we got back to Bluewave and I said my goodbye. Rode the jeepney and went back home. I'm really looking forward to the next 9 sessions on the road. Can't wait to be good at this. I have so many things I want to do and It's so much fun to start everything with learning how to drive. Wish me safety! =)
